Awakening Fierce Feminine Buddhism
A Four Week Intensive for Practicing in Daily Life
with Pamela Weiss, There Sala and Gozen Gibson (assistant)
Our world is on tilt. In these difficult, uncertain times, we are excited to offer this unique, practice opportunity. This four-week intensive will provide teachings, structure and community to support integrating spiritual practice into the fabric of daily life, work, family and relationships.
In our time together, we will introduce myths and stories of Buddhist women who surrounded the historical Buddha, as well as the present-day feminine Dharma lineage of Buddhist nuns, teachers and practitioners across the cultural spectrum. We will also learn about feminine and transfeminine archetypes that illuminate wisdom, compassion, courage, and the desire for freedom.
Each week we will introduce teachings, readings, reflections and practices that weave feminine qualities—of embodiment, nourishment, tenderness and mystery—into our daily lives, help deepen our spiritual practice, and support the cultivation of balanced, wholesome relationships with ourselves, each other and the planet.
The structure of the intensive offers a precious opportunity to meet the challenges of the pandemic within a dedicated community of practice and time with teachers. All genders are welcome.
